Creating your QR code…
Everything is computed in your browser: no data is sent.
Scan with your phone to test
Content too long. Shorten the text or lower the error correction level.
Inverted colors. Many scanners cannot read a light QR code on a dark background. Use a dark code on a light background instead.
Low contrast. This QR code may be hard to scan. Pick a darker color or a lighter background.
Transparent background: place this QR code on a plain, light background so it stays scannable.
Vector SVG: best for print, scales infinitely without quality loss.

Share your Wi-Fi easily and privately
A Wi-Fi QR code contains your network name (SSID), its security type and its password in a standard format that is natively recognized by the iPhone camera (iOS 11 and later) and by most Android phones (Android 10 and later). One scan is all it takes to connect.
It’s the perfect solution for:
- Vacation rentals and Airbnbs: include it in your welcome guide.
- Cafés, restaurants and hotels: place it on tables or at the front desk.
- Offices and waiting rooms: give access to the guest network without any help.
- Home: stick it next to your router for family and friends.
Good to know: the password is stored in plain text inside the QR code, and anyone who scans it can read it. For public places, use a separate “guest” network. With Iris QR, your password is never sent over the internet: the code is generated in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone, just open the Camera app and point it at the QR code. On Android, use the camera or Google Lens; most recent models offer to join the network directly.
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The QR code contains the old password, so you need to generate a new one and replace it. That’s the trade-off of a static QR code that relies on no server.
How do I handle a hidden network?
Check the “Hidden network” option. The phone will then look for the network even though it doesn’t broadcast its name.
Is my password safe on Iris QR?
Yes. It’s processed only by your browser and is never transmitted or stored. However, anyone who scans the printed QR code can access it, so only display it in appropriate places.
Which special characters are supported in the password?
All of them. Iris QR automatically escapes the reserved characters of the Wi-Fi format (semicolon, comma, colon, quotes, backslash), something many generators forget.
