Content too long. Shorten the text or lower the error correction level.
Inverted colors. Many scanners cannot read a light QR code on a dark background. Use a dark code on a light background instead.
Low contrast. This QR code may be hard to scan. Pick a darker color or a lighter background.
Transparent background: place this QR code on a plain, light background so it stays scannable.
Vector SVG: best for print, scales infinitely without quality loss.

The business card that saves itself
The vCard QR code uses the universal contact format (vCard 3.0), supported by iPhone, Android, Outlook and Gmail. When scanned, the phone offers to create a new contact that is already filled in: no more typos, no more lost cards.
- Business cards: on the back, next to your logo.
- Trade show and event badges: exchange details without an app.
- Email signatures, résumés and portfolios: a shortcut to your contact card.
- Shop windows and vehicles: customers save your number as they pass by.
Print tip: the more details you add, the denser the QR code. On a business card, stick to the essentials (name, phone, email, website) and print the code at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide. Accents and special characters are properly encoded in UTF-8.

Frequently asked questions
What is a vCard QR code?
It’s a QR code that contains a contact card in the standard vCard format. When scanned, the phone offers to add the person to the address book with every field already filled in.
Can I change my details after printing?
No: a static QR code contains the information itself. If your details change, generate a new QR code. In return, it will work forever with no subscription.
Are accents and special characters supported?
Yes. Iris QR encodes content in UTF-8 and escapes vCard special characters, so names like “Zoë” or “José” display correctly.
Does Iris QR store my contact details?
No. The QR code is created in your browser; no information is sent or kept.
